Payment Deadlines
Payment for Session I
- Pay $500 by April 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. to secure a spot in the Joseph Baldwin Academy.
- Financial aid and/or scholarships may not be applied toward the $500 required to hold the student’s spot.
- Remaining tuition fees must be paid in full on or before May 14, 2025.
- Any account unpaid by the dates above will be released to a student who has been waiting for an opening.
- We cannot accept any payments over the phone or at check-in.
Payment for Session II
- Pay $500 by April 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. to secure a spot in the Joseph Baldwin Academy.
- Financial aid and/or scholarships may not be applied toward the $500 required to hold the student’s spot.
- Remaining tuition fees must be paid in full on or before June 11, 2025.
- Any account unpaid by the dates above will be released to a student who has been waiting for an opening.
- We cannot accept any payments over the phone or at check-in.
Please note that payments must be received in our office no later than the dates listed above as we cannot hold spaces.

Electronic Check
- Electronic Checks may be made via your student’s account.
- There are no fees charged for this payment method.
Credit or Debit Card Payment
- MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover credit or debit card payments may be made via your student’s account.
- A 2.95% fee is charged by TouchNet Information Systems, our secure third-party transaction vendor.
Check or Money Order
We accept checks and money orders made payable to The Joseph Baldwin Academy. Be sure to note the student’s name and Banner ID# in the memo on your check or money order. Please mail or bring your campus to our business office for processing. Just as with all other payment methods, all checks must be received no later than 3-weeks prior to arrival.

Tuition Refund PolicyTo request a tuition refund, you must email the Academy at jba@truman.edu. We will respond to your request during normal business hours. We are unable to provide refunds after the dates listed below. Both Sessions:Up to and including the date of the final payment due date at midnight: 100% tuition refund for any reason From the final due date until the night before the designated arrival date for your students’ session at midnight: 100% tuition refund for medical or family emergency* Beginning day one of the Academy, tuition refunds will be on a pro-rated basis for medical or family emergencies only*. The pro-rated tuition amount is: $114.29 per day. Tuition refunds take approximately 10-14 business days to process from the time of our receipt (during normal business hours) of the emailed withdrawal request. Refunds are all issued via check to the name and address of the payor. Please also allow time for U.S. Postal Service delivery (may take up to one additional week). *Tuition refunds after the stated deadline are only for medical or family emergenciesPlease note that family activities, vacations, sports activities, events, homesickness, changes in schedule/plans, unexpected visitors, etc. are not deemed family emergencies and as such will not receive a tuition refund. All tuition refund requests must be emailed to: jba@truman.edu. Tuition refunds will not be given to students who are dismissed from the Academy for disciplinary reasons. |
